of how we turn Our fresh cherries into Artisan Small batch vinegar
STEP 1: PICK CHERRIES
It all starts with the best part: the cherries! We source them from amazing family farms, right here in Northern Michigan.
STEP 2: WINEMAKING
Next, we've got a top-secret family recipe that transforms those Montmorency tart and sweet cherries into a delightful batch of cherry wine.
But the fun doesn't stop there!
STEP 3: fermentation
Next the wine goes through fermentation, consuming all of the sugar in the wine. We use special yeasts and tannins to create a symphony of flavors with a depth you won't find anywhere else.
Here's the secret weapon: instead of taking the easy road and fermenting cherry juice, we use the whole dang fruit.
Why? Because those cherry skins are jam-packed with all the good stuff – the vitamins, the antioxidants, the anthocyanins, the cherry magic! In other words: the full, unadulterated power of cherries without any of the sugar!
By keeping the skins in the mix, we ensure our vinegar is bursting with flavor, steeped in goodness, and shining bright with its beautiful, deep red color.
STEP 4: bottling
After fermentation, the vinegar is bottled, sealed, and labeled, locking it all inside.
Never cooked and never pasteurized, the mother stays in the bottle: happy, healthy, and ready to pep up your pantry.
STEP 5: shipping
Finally, the bottled vinegar is carefully packed up and shipped off to you, delivering the full cherry experience directly to your doorstep.
